It took a couple months, but finally we have some "real" winter weather happening here. I almost didn't get out of my neighborhood this morning to get to church. Then I almost didn't get out the church's neighborhood to get home...and then I barely got into the driveway. I was going to change clothes and then scoop the sidewalk, but when I got out of the car I was standing in snow halfway to my knee and decided I didn't care about changing clothes and just wanted to get it over with. So I got the dog and my shovel and went after it.

Last I checked, this was already blowing back shut. |
What I don't have a picture of is the cleared bit of driveway. Yes, I even scooped out the end of the driveway in my church clothes. Then I let my car slide backward (that was fun), but then was able finally to get it all the way up into the driveway so I wasn't blocking the sidewalk anymore.
The neighbors borrowed my shovel to set up a sledding lane for their kiddos. The dog can't get enough of bounding through drifts that come up to his nose. Once things were scooped, I changed out of my church clothes and into warm, dry, comfy clothes and I am happy to stay as far from the snow as I can get before the adventure of getting to work tomorrow morning takes place.
